Project Risk Study Of Water Treatment Agent Project

The water treatment agent project was launched at April 2007. Water treatment agent is used for water purification. The target customers are from industries such as petroleum, chemical, electrical etc. To evaluate the project, we need to define the investment value, to assess the benefit, to analyze the uncertain factors, to estimate the investment recovery period, and so on. In addition, considering the reform of the management with the launch of the project, the project is with rather high risk, so the risk evaluation is especially important.This article investigates the operation of the water treatment agent project and used related theories about risk management to analyze the risk management of this project. Firstly, we made an overall review of the project. Secondly, we did project risk identification and figured out the project risk list. Thirdly, we used the grey multi-hierarchical comprehensive evaluation and established the project risk evaluation system; the risk of the project was assessed by this system. Finally, based on the risk evaluation, we promoted the portfolios of risk countermeasure.This article studied the risk factors that existed at the periods from the project assessing stage to the operation stage. We defined the decisive factors of the project, and used the risk evaluation system to estimate the risk of this project. Based on the evaluation, we made the conclusion that the risk of this project is acceptable. Meanwhile, the applying of the risk countermeasure is effective. This study applied the risk management theory in the water treatment agent project and made the base of the project decision.Frankly speaking, there are shortages in the using of the risk management system. On one hand, we need to make this system more practical. On the other hand, we need to improve the information systems that support the risk management system. Hence, in order to control the risks successfully, we must not only establish the strategy and institutional system, but also focus on the resources, plan, information and group building.
