Study On The Evolution Of Urban Residential Space In Chengdu City

Urban is one of the special settlement forms and the living function is the ancient and the permanent function of city. Urban Residential Space is the reflection of urban living function system on space. It is also a comprehensive reflection of its politics, economy, society, culture, natural conditions, engineering technologies and architectural arrangement in space.In recent years, with the improvement of the standard of living city, urban residential space is changing fiercely. First is with the acceleration of urbanization,the city scale and space unceasingly expand rapidly; Second is the city,especially the large and super cities' function are more and more forward to comprehensive,different function areas formed,and various functions influence each other mutually,thus the Urban Residential Space has been influenced; Third is with the reform of housing system deepening and the level of people's income raising in our country,the choice of urban residents in living space is more market-oriented,and individuation.Chengdu is an extremely big city which has a population beyond 4,000, 000 in downtown streets. With the acceleration of city urbanization,the unceasing improvement of city's comprehensive function,the unceasing growth of the urban economy,the adjustment of industrial structure and the spatial layout of industry,Chengdu urban residential space is also taking great changes.And all above have a significant effect on Chengdu's economy society and development in future.In this context, this article takes Chengdu as an example and puts the research into a period from 1949 until now; start with the structure of urban living space, using comprehensive research methods to discuss the evolvement process and features of urban residential space in Chengdu. Then,on the basic analysis above,the author puts forward the trend of urban residential space in Chengdu.This paper,taking Chengdu as an example,focus on the evolvement of urban living space and its trend, there are six components.The first part mainly discussed the research background, significance, methods and papers framework. And make a comprehensive reviewed of the relevant theoretical analysis in order to make the foothold clear;The second part has mainly analyzed the connotation of urban residential space and discussed the influencing factor of urban residential space through the view of multi-disciplinary and multi-angles;The third part summarizes the major cities domestic and abroad experiences in evolvement of living space for urban in Chengdu,providing a theoretical and practical reference guide for Chengdu city;The forth part sorts out the evolvement of living space and its characteristics in Chengdu,and focus on analyzing the main features of living space in Chengdu in present stage and the current problems of urban living space,in order to obtain a comprehensive clear understanding for the urban living space in Chengdu;The fifth part through grasping the present status of living space in Chengdu, and combined with relevant data and theories and its influence evolve factors in the near future to predict the future trend of evolution of Chengdu's living space;The sixth part in this paper makes a summary of important conclusions, points out the problems which need to be studied in further research.
