The effects of substitution of mobile-fixed have been more and more obvious. Under such circumstance, the net incremental fixed users of China Telecom trended to decrease years by years, and even the total fixed users begun to increase by a negative rate in recent years. Affected by this, the business revenue growth of China Telecom is sluggish, and its marketing shares continuously eroded by competitors. At the same time, its biggest competitor China Mobile has grown rapidly, and the competitive gap between them is enlarging. For getting rid of this dilemma, in 2005, China Telecom made the transition strategy, to made itself to be a world-class integrated information service operator. For a very long time, the market of family was neglected by operators, but there is tremendous potential and value in this market. In 2006, China Telecom provides "One Home" as the first customers brand for home users in China, to give the integrated information solution to families, which allows customers to enjoy the convenient and comfortable lives. But, so far now, "One Home" restricted in the traditional model that packaged of fixed telephone,PHS,broadband and mobile to sale, still lack of some "killer service". Furthermore, China Telecom has not explored a distinct business model for "One Home" yet. To provide some consulting and suggestions for the development of "One Home", this paper tries to study the experience of some foreign telecom operators, which are set as the benchmarks, and then analyze the ideal business blueprints and business model of "One Home". This paper including bellowing section:1. Summarizing the related concepts of home network, which is the technical Foundation of "One Home": its definition, its structure and its function.2. Summarizing and analyzing the home network business development experiences of British Telecom,French telecom,at&t,SK and KT.3. Based on the stages of families informationization and the diversity communication needs of different types of families, proposing a blueprint of "One Home".4. analyzing the business model of "One Home" from the position of industry chain,profit model and marketing model.
