The Research On Regional Economic Disparities In Jilin Province

Since the reform and opening in China, Regional economic Disparity is major question concerned by academia, government and the public. Unbalanced regional economic development is a threat to social harmony and a major barrier to coordinate development. Jilin Province is in circle hinterland of Northeast Asia .It is an important part of regional cooperation in Northeast Asian economic. Jilin Province which has been in relatively backward situation is core part of the Rejuvenation of Old Industrial Bases in Northeastern China. Northeast area forms the pattern of central collapse because of Jilin which is an underdeveloped regional economic. In this background, this paper focuses on analyzing the regional differences in economic development in Jilin Province, and puts forward the corresponding countermeasures and regulations to control the regional disparities. It is of great practical significance to accelerate the sustained, rapid and healthy and harmonious economic development in Jilin Province, and to improve the standard of living.First, summarize the related literatures of regional economic disparities and introduces the concrete approaches that this study has used.Second, analyze the differences between the cities in Jilin Province by the chosen indexes.Third, discusses the inducing reasons of the regional disparity in Jilin Province from four aspects.Last, base on analyzing the necessity of coordinated economic development, puts forward some countermeasures for coordinate the regional economic development.
