| Regional economic disparities are an important problem in domestic economic and social development, which draws great attention of the academic circles, the government and the people since the reform and opening to the world. Losing control of the balance of regional economic development forms a menace to the social harmonious development. Jiangsu province is one of the most prosperous provinces in our country although, but it also has the same problem. Expansion of economic disparities in its interior impacts on the speed and permanence of total economy development in Jiangsu province, it also affects the target of the"two initiatives" of province. Under this background, the article analyses the discrepancy of Jiangsu's region economy development and put forwards the corresponding mediation strategies, which has a flesh and blood significance on implement of Jiangsu economy sustainable, rapid, sound and harmony development and on solving the relations between efficiency and equity and on improving the living standard level of the poor area.Firstly, the thesis made a deep study on existing regional economic theory. It includes non-balanced theory and the theories of coordinated development of regional economy. All these theories would give us great enlightenments in the area of regional economic development. Secondly, this paper describes regional economic disparities in Jiangsu by means of date and forms, and then uses the Theil index and adding power variance coefficient to analyze the regional economy discrepancies among the different areas of Jiangsu province with the views of dynamic state. Based on these descriptions, detailed causes for the gaps among northern, southern, and middle parts have been analyzed. It includes factors of district and history, factors of culture and consciousness, thinking and conception, factors of policy as well as the factors of human capital. Finally, the article puts forward the countermeasures to lessen the discrepancy. |
