Regional economic disparities have been every community's concerns; China's regional economic disparities exist not only between the three major areas which are Mid-china, East-china and West-china, but also inside of these three areas. The author had a deep analysis of the inner-regional economic disparities on the static characteristics of space and evolution of time in this article.Firstly, the author used the method of PCA (Principal Component Analysis) to score and rank 88 cities (states) in Mid China. Secondly, 88 cities (states) in Mid China were classified into six categories of economic area according to two indexes -the general score of development level and the speed of development. Lastly, based on the partition of six categories of economic area, the static spatial characteristics and the evolution between 1990 and 2006 of the regional economic disparity in Mid China were described from two levels of city and province. The main conclusions are made that regional economic disparities in Mid-china are obvious, and the regional economic disparities between cities have been increasingly expanding since 1990 to 2006, and the regional economic disparities between provinces had a notable decrease after an increase. Most backward styles cities are located in the junctions of Hubei Henan and Anhui provinces and also south-central Jiangxi Province, western Hunan Province, western Hubei Province; developed styles are mainly provincial capital cities and have a scattered distribution; the more developed styles are Hubei, Hunan and Jiangxi provinces located in the junctions of .At the same time, the writer also compared the growth of each province with the average level of the Mid-china. And fund that Henan Province has maintained a steady growth, and it has already actualized "the relative rise" in the Mid-china, Jiangxi and Shanxi Province also have the potential start to rise up correspondingly in recent years, Hubei and Hunan Province have a relatively backward trend, especially Hubei Province has the backward trend when Mid-china is rising up relatively, and Anhui province also had a backward trend.
