Research On The Core-Competence Of Dashiqiao Resource-based City

In the face of the depletion of natural resources, resource-based city will eventually choose energy efficiency for development. Where force economic transition of resource-based cities admits no delay. As a global problem, economic transition of resource-based city is searched after by countries all over the world. Innovation and breakthrough is badly needed on both theory and practice. With the deepening of economic globalization and regional economic integration, competition has become the characteristic of times. To survive and grow in the fierce competition, Dashiqiao must be more competitive, especially through the enhancement of core-competence to achieve sustained advantage to the next competition. Thus a new research direction come into existence to take everything into account when resource-based city facing the challenge of external environment and self-development and to achieve a successful transition in competition.This article first research and evaluate achievements in and abroad, which leads to the content and theory basis of economic transition of resource-based cities. At the same time, the author states the definition, intension, theory basis, characteristics and layer character of core competence of the city. Through reviewing to the above theories, the author understands the necessity of resource-based city's economic transition. And the author put forward new point of view about strategic management theory, with which to research the problem of economic transition.By using of Delphi, AHP and fuzzy comprehensive analysis of the city, the author built a comprehensive evaluation method for the construction of core competitiveness. Based on the city's definition of core competitiveness, combined with the characteristics of resource-based cities, the author built a evaluation index system of resource-based city core competitiveness. Through the design of survey questionnaires, interviews with experts and scholars, integrated processing of data, calculation of the evaluation index of the city of Dashiqiao, the author get a conclude of core competitiveness. That is, magnesium material products industry is the core competence. The author also analyzed its advantages and disadvantages.Finally, the author proposed countermeasures and suggestions from these follow aspects, such as position of the city, industrial optimization, building of brand and the introduction of government and so on.
