Basing on Manyue ritual of Zhuang people in Qilong village, Jingxicounty,Guangxi, we described and analyzed the evocation for baby in the Manyueritual from life style perspective with theories of interpretation anthropology,psychoanalysis, medical anthropology. As some Zhuang people think, evocation forinfancy is their baby-survival strategies or customs and they believe"flower fairy"controls people'fate and spirit affecting on our health. If a baby gets sick, somepeople think that the spirit of the child is frightened or that he has lost his soul. Toremedy this, they will choose a special day and invite a Taoist priest or sorceress toperform a rite that lifts up the child's spirit or summons back his or her soul. If theydo not like this, they think the baby will not survive easily and live longer, becausethey hold to their own interpretation of why and how to perform the rituals. In Zhuangculture, Manyue ritual associated with helping children survive infancy have evolvedover the generations. Additionally, Manyue ritual became a life style of of Zhuangsociety.
