The network based-enterprise culture communication has appeared as a new research topic for both the enterprises and the scientific society. Of particular interests are the systematic and adequate descriptions of the functions of the new communication relation, which are not well understood at the present stage. The present work has made a systematic study of this topic using practical investigation and statistical analysis. The central aim of this study is to clarify the particular functions the new communication relation delivers.In our investigation, we have examined 25 websites of domestic enterprises with good reputations, putting an emphasis on the enterprise culture information which is the major concern of a large portion of the enterprise culture accepters. It is revealed that the information shown by these websites does not cover the five basic components of an enterprise culture, and that the pertinence is not orderly and firmly established. We have also studied the demands of enterprise culture accepters, involving both the inner and outside ones. In particular, the reorganization of the accepters to the enterprise culture dimensions such as values, wishes, society duties, rules and regulations has been analysed in much detail. We have finally obtained three common factors to describe the network communication function of enterprise culture, namely, the website content demand factor (C1), the enterprise culture content demand factor (C2) and the factor for remaining content demands (C3).The theoretical and experimental results suggest the following understndings on the functions of the net-work-based enterprise culture communication: it shares the functions of the traditional communication media involving the inner accepter-oriented part such as excitation, conforming, directing, and promoting of effective management, and the outside accepter-oriented part, the radiation and the enterprise figuring. Especially, the network-based communication has some additional functions. The staffs and employees of the enterprises have found their 'network home', which makes their internal affinity much more enhanced; The communication spans are augmented greatly in space and time; The effects of communication have also been largely improved due to the use of specific advanced communication techniques; The interacting communication has been the most outstanding function in a network based- enterprise culture communication process.Finally, at the end of the thesis, we have made two proposals, (1) the integrality and the ordering of the network communication of the five basic components of the enterprise culture; (2) the enhancement of the interacting network communication, for a well established network communication of the enterprise culture.
