Along with the exploration and development further thorough, the developing scope of conventional oil-gas reservoirs is getting smaller and smaller. At the same time, the exploration scope and field of unconventional oil-gas reservoirs is becoming bigger and bigger. With its advantages in the development of oil-gas reservoirs, horizontal well technique has become an important method in the development of oil-gas reservoirs high efficiently. This method shows good results when applied to bottom water reservoirs, high water-cut reservoirs, complex fault block oil reservoirs, fractured reservoirs and thermal recovery of heavy oil reservoirs. The geological conditions of igneous reservoirs are very complex: the distribution of crack plane and the crack growth degree will change in a wide range; the determination of efficient reservoir's location is difficult. Moreover, igneous reservoir still has the following features: it has high production capacity in the initial stage; the output will decline rapidly; the reservoir has high heterogeneity; the production capacities of different wells will vary widely; the reservoir is easy to be polluted; edge and bottom water breakthroughs are likely to happen. All these lead to the result that it is difficult to distribute vertical wells. And there will be more finished vertical wells with low production capacities. The pore-fracture type reservoir is suit to be developed with horizontal well technique. When drilling into available reservoir, a horizontal well will form a big fracture that link every available reservoir parts in a block type reservoir. This will increase the producing interval length of a single well. Consequently, the production capacity will be increased and the development result will be improved.Under the background of the igneous reservoir characteristics and developing status of Small 35 Block in Huangshatuo Oilfield, the article does the analysis and research work on the developing status of the block in conjunction with the oilfield's geology, technical level and economic circumstances, and lays a foundation for technical & economic evaluation and potential research of oil field production. Taking the development economic benefit of the block as the starting point, in view of the development feature of Liaohe Oilfield' igneous reservoirs that: more complex compared with the development of conventional clastic reservoirs; higher technical requirements and risks, the article study and analyze the the implication of economic benefits, factors that affect the oilfield's economic benefits, the economic character of oilfield development and development cost etc. Using the method of CVP(cost volume profit) analysis, the article makes systematically financial evaluation for Small 35 Block. In addition, the article makes out technical and economic evaluation for the development of igneous reservoir, which including evaluation of economic benefits, energy saving and dissipation reducing, social benefits, managed risk, stage, single well benefits and global project. Based on these evaluations, the article makes an systematical analysis on resources & development potential of Small 35 Block to put forward policy-like guidance for corresponding development strategy.
