Enlightenment Of The Successful Experience Of Paris As A World Fashion Center For Building Beijing Into A Fashion Capital

The paper first explores the definition of fashion and the process and rule in fashion production and spreading through the study of fashion theories. Then, the paper systematically analyzes Paris'experience in making it a capital of the fashion world. The aim of the research is to help Beijing promote its building into a fashion capital. The reasons for Paris'success as the top of the fashion world are as follows: its long period of fashion development, suitable atmosphere for the growth of fashion, the influence of French fashion brands towards the whole world which is based on the maturity of its fashion system. The necessity and possibility of making Beijing a fashion capital are then analyzed as well as its advantages. Finally, some suggestions are put forward: make a good use of Paris'experience in its fashion development; create local fashion brands; improve the levels of designers and the quality of products; enrich the variety of products; diversify the distribution channels; promote images of fashion brands; strengthen the building of fashion culture; boost fashion consumers'taste and create a better social atmosphere for making Beijing a real fashion capital.
