Nowadays the economic relations between countries are becoming more and more closed in the context of globalization. The economic development and the improvement of science and technology make the flow of the essential production factors of the world faster and more convenient. Enterprises in the world can fully enjoy the updated efficiency brought by the global market allocation of resources. "Go abroad" of private enterprises is a necessity for Chinese economy into the global economy, also an important measure to enhance the competition of Chinese enterprises in the global market. Internalization is not only a patent for the large enterprise, but the SMEs, especially the private SMEs which have a strong capacity of innovation can and should participate in the tendency of internalization. The SMEs make up the majority of the private enterprises in China still at present, and after 30 years'tempering in the time of reform and opening to the outside, most of them have passed the primitive accumulation phase and on the road of becoming big and strong. In the new period, while the international market internalizes and the domestic market internationalization is now the market trend of development, the internationalization is a must for the SMEs to become big and strong.Zhejiang is China's private economy province. The rapid growth of SMEs is an essential factor that progress of economy of region of Zhejiang leads the whole nation. For the past 30 years, the private enterprises in Zhejiang has developed from nothing, from small to big, from weak to strong. Today they have aimed to the world by expanding overseas markets and making use of global resources, and formed a magnific scene which many private enterprises of Zhejiang compete so drastic overseas. In consideration of fierce competition in the global market and the numerous uncertainties, it is an urgent and serious topic for the economics and management at present to think that how the SMEs in Zhejiang can pursuit the global economic tendency, make use of opportunities, give full play of own advantages and explore a road of internalization which fits themselves.This dissertation is themed with the international strategy of the private SMEs of Zhejiang province, which consists of eight chapters. The first chapter begins with an introduction of the research background and its expected value, and then analyzes the meaning of the subject theoretically and practically. This chapter finally expounds the theoretical logic and methodology of the dissertation, and defines the specific meaning of some vocabulary in this research, such as SMEs and internationalization and so on.After a review of traditional theories of internationalization, chapter two sums up the foreign researchers'theories of internationalization from the aspects of the reasons, paths and modes. It also introduces the results of some Chinese academics'researches.The third chapter discusses the necessity and feasibility of internationalization of Zhejiang private SMEs. Zhejiang private SMEs must choose to internationalize due to the following factors: the development of economy globalization; the push of "Go abroad" strategy; the situation that supply exceeds demand; the features of industrial structure and advantage industries of Zhejiang; foreign trade of private enterprises promote the economy of Zhejiang province as well. The law of economic development, the development of modern information technology, the high extent of economic extroversion and so on makes it practical for Zhejiang private SMEs to internationalize.The fourth chapter discusses several representative cases, which include the internationalizations of foreign SMEs, Zhejiang private enterprises which have developed into big enterprises, and Zhejiang SMEs. These cases provide valuable experience for the internationalizations of Zhejiang SMEs, also for the SMEs in ChinaIn the basis of the SWOT analysis of strategy environment of internationalizations of Zhejiang SMEs, chapter five points out that the opportunities far outweigh the challenges in the global market, inside advantages far outweigh the disadvantages, hence the SMEs in Zhejiang should make full use of inside advantages to take the opportunities and strengthen the weakness.The foothold of this dissertation is the internationalization strategy of SMEs in Zhejiang, which is composed of two chapters, that is, chapter six and seven.Chapter seven elaborates the strategy implementation of private SMEs in Zhejiang including the actions of government, enterprises and social intermediate organizations. It is indispensable for government to change its function, establish a perfect legal system and financial service system, and provide information technology support. Enterprises should cultivate and enhance the core competitiveness, strengthen international human resource management, weigh the pros and cons of OEM, play to its agglomerative effects and walk combinative road. Social intermediate organizations such as industrial associations should also play an active role, besides an anti-dumping foundation is a worth taking advice.It is a practical and complex work to research on the internationalization strategy of private SMEs. Some significant conclusions are drawn from this study. While considering the wide range and complexity of the issue, the limitations and deficiency of this study are unavoidable. In the end some advices are given for the future research.
