Hebei Province is now in the period of system transformation and rapid economic growth. Structural contradictions have always been basic constraints. So the adjustment the industrial structure will be an important mission in our province's economic work in the future and has important value in the theory of industrial economy.In this paper, the decomposition of the industrial structure changes in Hebei Province is studied to identify the major factor that impact the industrial structure changes, and to evaluate the extent of the impact by various factors.In this paper, two major questions are researched. First, to improve the existing model and identify suitable SDA model for Hebei Province by overviewing SDA and its related theoretical model and evaluating the merits and scope of application of these model. In this paper, RAS model proposed by Vander Linden and Erik Dietzenbacher is improved and the changes of output value in the industrial sector will be broken down into eight basic factors.Second, to adjust the input-output table of Hebei Province based on decomposition model of the industrial structure changes so that it conforms to the requirements of decomposition model, and enables the results of decomposition meet the requirements of political reference.In this paper, the errors in input-output table of Hebei province in 1997 have been adjusted so that it can adjust to the requirements of modeling. After that, the department of input-output table of Hebei Province in 1997 and 2002 were adjusted and merged.The decomposition of the industrial structure changes in Hebei Province between 1997 and 2002 was completed based on improved structural change decomposition model and the data input-output table.
