Case Study Of Cost Control Of Liaoning Dahuofang's TBM Project

Along with the development of Beijing Vibroflotation Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereafter referred as BVEC), BVEC has become a leading enterprise on TBM project, and TBM project has been gradually becoming BVEC's core business while its output is over half of the whole BVEC's output. Due to the characteristics of TBM project, such as complex construction links, great cost input and long construction period, etc, cost control in construction process becomes the most important issue, which is also great important for BVEC's development.Based on project cost theory, Liaoning Dahuofang TBM Project is researched as a typical case, main problems of cost control during construction process are analyzed and disposal solutions are suggested. The whole analysis includes the following parts:(1) Introduction to main body of the case: it includes introduction of main analytical enterprise of BVEC, main techniques of TBM, and main body of project - Liaoning Dahuofang TBM Project;(2) The theory analysis of the project cost control is discussed in details from the following six aspects: the concept of project cost control, the essentiality of project cost control, the content of project cost control, the principles of project cost control, the procedures of project cost control and the method of project cost control.(3) Combined with the characteristics of Liaoning Dahuofang TBM Project, key points and solutions of cost control are analyzed and supplied from biding stage, preparation in pre-construction phase, construction phase and final implementation.Through case study of cost control of Liaoning Dahuofang TBM Project, it will be helpful to improve management level of cost control and optimize cost control process, which is becoming the base to control cost of TBM project, and finally it will help the enterprises to realize the target of maximizing profit and minimizing cost.
