As one of intellectual property rights, geographical indications has got widespread concern in the society nowadays. With the acceleration of Global economic integration process and growth of trade exchanges between different countries or regions, geographical indications, as a huge intangible asset, its commercial value is on the rise. However, the concept of geographical indications is not well known by Chinese people so far. China is a large agricultural country with a long history, it owes distant farming civilizations, so the agricultural resources with geographical indications is rather rich. During the 323 Geographical Indications that "China's geographical indications" carried on the first group study of the National Geographical Indications in 2005, 307 is classified to the category of agricultural products, accounting for 95% of the total number. And the most is fruits and vegetables, reaching 104 and accounting for 32.2% of the total number. Ihe trade of agricultural products with geographical indications is most closely related to "three rural issues", and also the extremely important part of trade-related intellectual property protection. Enhancing the protection of the agricultural products with geographical indications fits the long-term interests of Chinese economic development. Therefore, this article will study the trade situation of Chinese agricultural products with geographical indications, and this will have important theoretical and practical significance. In this paper, we combine qualitative and quantitative analysis, theoretical and empirical research to analyse and research the issue of the trade of Chinese agricultural products with geographical indications systematically and deeply, and the detailed content is as follows:Firstly, this paper introduces the concept, characteristic, functions, legal nature and main protection models of geographical indications in the height of theory. We also carry out analysis and definition of geographical indications, mark of source, appellations of origin and trade marks separately. Geographical indications is one of the protection objects of industrial property, and also the privacy with strong public authority involved. Geographical indications shows not only the true source of the products, but more importantly, it is the quality assurance of products or services and this quality is attributed to its geographical origin.Secondly, we introduce the basic trade conditions and development trends of agricultural products with geographical indication from the perspective of international trade, and focus on the causes of agricultural trade disputes, which becomes more and more significant recently, thus point out that under the present circumstances, a better option is to develop the geographical indications of agricultural products vigorously, apply geographical indications to promote the quality of agricultural products, and break through barriers to international agricultural trade by its brand effect. Then followed by a analysis on the current situation, existed problems and important significance of geographical indications protection in the agricultural trade of China, then sets "Shaanxi apple", "Yantai apple" and French champagne, cognac as examples to demonstrate the significance the geographical indications influence the export of agricultural products. The concentrated apple juice is the main product of Shaanxi apple exports, so we carry out linear analysis based on the related data of Shaanxi apple juice export in empirical analysis. The results show that the adjusted R Square is 0.964, the application of geographical indications has a significant influence on the export foreign exchange of Shaanxi apple juice concentrate. Therefore, we should attach importance to protect the products with geographical indications in order to play its role in the international trade of agricultural products more fully. Finally, I suggest that we select specific legislation mode to protect geographical indications. Starting from the own legal property and legal characteristics of geographical indications, while taking the rich resources of geographical indications in China and the important significance of protecting geographical indications into account, in addition that the bureau of the quality and technical supervision is good at monitoring and controlling the quality of the products with geographical indications, our country should establish"The law on the Protection of Geographical Indications of People's Republic of China", strengthen the legislative package to speed up the integration with the international standard, implement all-round protection of geographical indications in order to achieve the initiative in the international trade of agricultural products.
