As a new investment and financing mechanism, the prominent feature of venture capital is high-risk, high-return, so the establishment of the selection and evaluation model for venture capital project is a prerequisite for investment decision-making. This paper researches and analysis the selection and evaluation for Chinese venture capital project at the perspective of venture capitalists. First of all, through the review of domestic and foreign relevant knowledge of selection and evaluation for venture capital project, it analysis venture capital project from definition, evaluation indicators factors, select and evaluate method, the investment decision-making procedures, exit mechanisms. Thus have a complete understanding and awareness.Secondly, it introduces venture capital-related theoretical knowledge, including meaning and theoretical knowledge, life cycle, the investment system and the basis composition and so on. It is the theoretical basis for writing this article.Again, based on the analysis of existing research results and Chinese venture capital status, it established a"five core competitiveness"index system. This provides a new basis for evaluation index system.Finally, build the selection and evaluation model for venture capital project which based on"fuzzy-gray clustering method", and through empirical analysis demonstrates the feasibility of the model.This paper mainly researches venture project at the seed-stage and early-stage, which are difficult to raise start fund projects. Also provides the basis for venture capitalists timely and correctly make the choice of high-risk, high-yield investment projects. It promotes the development of venture capital industry.
