Experimental Study On Effects That Decision-maker Cognitive Style Have On Decision-making Innovation

The decision-making issue involve in various fields and levels, which have complex, diverse forms and fast, ever-changing rhythm, so the impact of errors caused by decision-making would be greater. Especially since the U.S. Subprime Lending Crisis has caused a global financial crisis, the domestic economic situation and policy environment has undergone great change. Facing the Challenges brought by the financial crisis, the decision-maker's ability, when making decision, to investigate the environment and control economic development becomes more important. We should enhance the research of decision-maker's cognitive skills and decision-making innovation, and improve the quality and effect, for the above-mentioned sections have become an important issue for the theoretical field and the substantive departments.Cognitive style is an important kind of individual difference variables, which is also one of the important dimension of personality structure. Witkin divides people's cognitive style into field dependence and field independence from the insight of information processing, field dependence means people tend to rely on an external frame of reference or the external environment cues as a guide in the processing of information, field independence refers that people tend to process information depend on the internal sense. In order to obtain approach to improve decision-makers' capability of decision-making innovation toward different field cognitive styles, The study combines the cognitive style of decision-makers and decision-making innovation, and it also conducts empirical research respectively from two different field of innovative cognitive style. The research is of great theoretical value and practical significance either from a theoretical and practical point of view, or from the macro-management and micro-business point.This paper, in line with the combination of scientificity and practicality, based on cognitive style theory, organizational behavior and decision Sciences, according to theoretical study and practical research of combining research methods, makes the use of many methods like goal programming method, analytic hierarchy process, Multi-factor analysis and so on, to carry out research activities and conduct empirical analysis. Its innovation:A mechanism that how decision makers'cognitive style influence their decision-making innovation is proposed, and in accordance with the mechanism, the study put forwards a strategy to improve the ability of decision-making innovation.It also provides a reference for decision-makers to improve their own innovative capability and decision-making levels, and for relevant departments to assess and appoint administrador within the organization.Final conclusions:In order to enhance the forward-looking analysis and rehearsal of decision-making program, the study advises to add an stage,'selected experimental or pilot program', between the 'Select action plan' and'evaluation of decision-making implementation', in the decision-making process.Factors affected in the process of decision-making innovation will be different for decision-makers of different field cognitive styles, field dependence group is of more consideration of social environmental factors, but behavioral choices field is prefer to refer to internal factors in field independence group. Field cognitive style influences the decision-makers' decision-making innovation capability,decision-maker of field dependence-based tend to refer to social environmental factors more likely on the aspects of intent on nnovation and creativeness, but field-independent decision-maker pays more attention on internal factors.
