With the rapid development of power, the traditional asset management exists in a lot of problems, in the process of equipment purchase or research, enterprises often placed emphasis on the initial investment, but not from the consideration of the entire life-cycle cost, it often results in wasting a large number of money. To change the grid asset management status and problems the State Grid Corporation in recent years began to introduce Asset Life Cycle Management philosophy, emphasizing the whole process of realization of assets, lean management, and the core content is the whole life cycle cost management. In this paper, the author takes a group of circuit breakers that having more problems in a domestic municipal power supply enterprises as the research object, and tap batch circuit breaker failure causes and the factors that affect cost operation, based on full life-cycle management theory, focusing on full life-cycle cost analysis to offer solutions and seek the best decision between repair or technical innovation programs, and put forward the entire life-cycle cost optimization recommendations according to the issue found in the research.
