As the continued development of China's private enterprises, Zhejiang private enterprises have gradually built its dominant position among the Zhejiang export enterprises. So the research on the internationalization of Zhejiang private enterprises is in tune with the tide of the time and has great practical significance. The New-New trade theory is now the new hot spot in explaining international trade. The paper tries to apply the New-New trade theory to the Zhejiang private enterprises. Through case study and empirical tests, the paper provides an interpretation of the international evolution path of Zhejiang private enterprises with heterogeneity at the micro level. The main part of the paper is the case study of the internationalization path, including the test of productivity, based on 71 listed Zhejiang private enterprises. Specific steps are as follows:1.Mechanism analysis of how the productivity effects the internationalization of the enterprises, by building a trade model of monopolistic competition for heterogeneous enterprises; 2.Calculating the TFP and the Malmquist jjroductivity index of 71 companies from 2004 to 2008 in Deap2.1, with the non-parametric estimation method of DEA; 3.Measuring the degree of internationalization of the enterprises and analyzing how productivity effects the internationalization choices; 4. Selecting the WanXiang Group as the typical case to analyze the internationalization path of Zhejiang private enterprises. The central part of the paper carries out two empirical studies on 65 Zhejiang private enterprises in 2008, applying the export model with self-selection effects and learning effects. Results have shown that:There is "productivity paradox" phenomenon in Zhejiang private enterprises, but no learning effects through export. The paper further analyzes the reason why such empirical results show up. Based on theoretical analysis and empirical results, the paper proposes four relevant policy recommendations at last, and puts forward the direction for future research.
