Study Of Tourist Management On Xiangshan Park On The Base Of Social Carrying Capacity

It is inevitable that the development of tourism industry changes on the social character of a destination. However, the direction of these changes depends on the carrying capacity of a destination. Each recreational area can sustain a specific level of acceptance of tourism development, beyond which further development can result in negative response or a decline in the quality of the experience gained by visitors and the degree of satisfaction.The purpose of this paper is to give references to management departments on tourists' impressions of the carrying capacity and crowding perceptions at the Xiangshan Park. The result of study shows that crowding perceptions in the Xiangshan Park is relative to the volume of noise, the amount of the infrastructure as seat, explanation signboard, the whole environment, density of visitors, etc. Besides, it is also correlated with the improper-act of making a racket, throwing the trash, and so on. The results of social carrying capacity in this research are as follows: the instantaneous carrying capacity is 8,190 people, and the reasonable carrying capacity is 21,840 people per day. The suggestion of tourist management is include tactics of dispersing, tactics of restraining, the education of exposition and to increase the durability of resources, etc.
