Business Process Reengineering Of Purchasing Process In Haimo Company

Along with the speedy process of globalization and severe market competition, the product life cycle is becoming even shorter, product variety is growing rapidly. Customers demand much faster delivery and have high expectation for product and service forwarded. More and more Chinese Enterprises entered the international market in spite of the complex internal and external environment. To survive and make development, meet the customer's request, those companies have to continually make adjustments according to the circumstance, carry on innovation and transformation.Act as the beginning of the production, purchasing process is one of the most important business processes for the company. Purchasing activity involved in the entire business process from suppliers to end users, including cargo logistics, capital flow and information flow, which had a direct effect on enterprise's cost and the profit. It can avoid unnecessary loss and waste during production, reduce cost, enhance efficiency and promote management level by improving management of purchasing process.This paper combined modern procurement management theory and business process re-engineering theory with purchasing practices of Haimo company, diagnosed and analyzed present purchasing process, discovered the problems existed in current purchasing process, offered re-engineering plan of purchasing process by using ASME method and BPR idea. BPR project was consisted of four parts i.e., purchasing plan process, supplier exploration and management process, order issuing and execution process, stock in and payment clearance process. At last, introduced some supporting measures for the re-design plan implementation, carried on pre-appraisal for the new purchase process applying ASME method.
