Study On The Characteristics Of Internationalization Process Of International New Ventures

With the deepening development of economic globalization, and the expansion and enrichment of internationalization research fields, international new ventures have been developed rapidly in recent years and it has received more and more attention from domestic and foreign academic circles. International new ventures are different from traditional transnational enterprises. Correspondingly, traditional theories about enterprise internationalization fail to perfectly explain the internationalization process of international new ventures. Based on knowledge management theories, the internationalization process of enterprises can be a process of knowledge accumulation and organization study, while knowledge can be one of the most important strategic resources for enterprise's realization of internationalization. International new ventures acquire knowledge through internationalization activities and integrate them into new knowledge stocks, which constituting the basis for enterprise's continual growth.Based on this, the thesis tries to explain the internationalization process's characteristics of international new ventures from the perspectives of knowledge management theories with further exploration of the relationship between the above two parties.The first section of the thesis introduces the research background and significance and subsequently illustrates the research status quo of international new ventures and knowledge management theory both in domestic China and foreign countries, based on which, the research line, main contents and research methods of the thesis is provided with a conclusion of the innovative points. The main concepts in the thesis such as enterprise internationalization, international venturing and international new venture are defined in the final paragraphs, to serve as a brief description of its main framework.The second section arranges related theoretical basis on the basis of a large volume of domestic and foreign documents. It focuses on the comparison of the difference between traditional enterprise internationalization theory and international new ventures internationalization theory, which introduces typical traditional internationalization theory and combs the main research contents of international new ventures from the following three aspects:the intention, basic mode and progress characteristics of international new ventures. Then it gives a general description of related theories about knowledge management, in which the basis concepts and classification of knowledge is introduced, followed by the introduction of theories such as knowledge management, knowledge transfer, knowledge integration, knowledge assimilation ability and the study ability of organizations, which functions as a matting for later analysis.The third section is based on knowledge management theory and gives us a deep and systematic analysis of the internationalization process's characteristics of international new venture, which describes the status of knowledge in the internationalization process of international new ventures. Then an analysis of the relationship between source of knowledge and the characteristics of the internationalization of international new ventures is emphasized, which explains the relationship from internal knowledge and external knowledge, constituting a theoretical mode that best describes the relationship between source of knowledge and the characteristics of the internationalization of international new ventures. Case study is provided as well for further illustration of the relationship between source of knowledge and special characteristics of international new venture's internationalization process.The final section of the thesis arrives at main research conclusions about knowledge management theory and characteristics of international new venture's internationalization process, and puts forward policy suggestions for accelerating the growth of international new ventures in China from government and enterprise aspects.Through above analysis and study, the thesis arrives at the following conclusion: with the deepening of economic globalization and the development of knowledge economy, the extent of enterprise internationalization is increasingly as well, therefore international new ventures must choose a radical way to realize internationalization instead of traditional progressive path..Knowledge plays a important role in the internationalization process of international new ventures. Individual knowledge,organizational knowledge,networks knowledge and clusters knowledge have significant impact on the radical characteristics of international new ventures' internationalization process.
