The objective of this study is to(1) study the impact from financial crisis on employees'economic life;(2)explore employees'cognitive appraisal and coping style to financial crisis;(3) find if there are differences among different employees on cognitive appraisal and coping style to financial crisis;(4) construct the relationship model among cognitive appraisal,coping style,mental health and satisfaction with life.Using interviews, questionnaires and other research methods, we investigated 548 employees in Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces , and finally concluded that:(1)the economic income, work and investment of employees'were apparently affected by financial crisis;(2)the questionnaire of employees'cognitive appraisal to financial crisis includes five factors: sense of control, threats, opportunities, support resources, and growth; the questionnaire of employees'coping style to financial crisis includes two sub questionnaires: facing crisis and avoiding crisis; the questionnaire of facing crisis includes three factors: problem-solving, interpersonal help, and self motivation; the questionnaire of avoiding crisis includes another three factors: suicide-escaping, tolerance, and overlook; questionnaires have acceptable reliability and validity;(3) employees who were employed or not, demoted or not, different levels of investment losses have different cognitive appraisal and coping style to financial crisis;(4) the cognitive appraisal and coping style to financial crisis are different among different employees;(5) the model among cognitive appraisal,coping style,crisis events,mental health and satisfaction with life fits well.
