Career resilience can help employee overcome the occupational stress and career barriers, improve the employability, and effectively improve the current severe employment situation. So-called"Career resilience"means effectively responses when one face the the psychological and behavior career events in ones career development.Through some standard research methods such as literature review and survey investigation with more than 900 workers in 30 different kinds of Chinese companies which were from 11 cities in China. Such statistics as exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and regression analysis were applied for the data analysis. The conclusions were drawn as following:First, for Chinese employees, career resilience scale is comprised of four dimensions, namely career goals, lifelong learning (career) risk-taking tendencies, and (professional) self-efficacy. The content validity of employee career resilience questionnaire accuracy reaches psychometric requirements.Second, this study found career resilience to have psychological and attitudinal consequences (i.e. work performance, job insecurity, and emotional commitment). Similarly, different dimension of career resilience have effect on these consequences differently.Third, perceived supervisor support was found to significantly moderate the relationships between career resilience and its consequences (i.e. job performance, job insecurity, and emotional commitment) respectively.Fourth, discussion about the demographical variables, effects on the contents of career resilience. The demographical variables included sex, age, education level, job tenure, job position and the ownership of enterprises. It was found that the demographical variables had some significant effects on the contents of career resilience.Finally, Current limitations and future research orientation were also discussed at the end of the dissertation.
