The conflict between maternity and career seems to be unavoidable for working females in China.This essay made a research among working females to find out whether working females will feel career barriers differently based on different marriage stages they are in,and whether working females will feel career success differently based on different marriage stages,and also if there is any connection between career barriers and career success for working females.Hopefully the research results can help the working females to find a better way to combine life and work properly.After a review on the theories and papers related to career and career barrier,and based on Evaluation on career barriers of Tian Xiulan(1998),I made an Investigation Form named Investigation on career barriers of working.females in different marriage status.This Form made a research from three categories-Individual,society/organization,and family,which include females psychology,objective condition,tradition,gender difference,social and organizational support,role conflict,family and work interrelationship,eight factors in total.The Investigation was made between Dec.2014 to Jan.2015 among domestic working females.251 effective samples were collected,among which 99 women are single,56 are married with no kids,96 are married with kids.By empirical study on collected data from this Investigation,conclusions are made as follows:1.Females in different marriage status feel differently about their career barriers.2.Females in different marriage status feel differently about career success.3.There is no connection between career barrier and career success.With these results,I suggest working females can do as follows in order to reduce career barriers.Firstly,to society and organization,females need to fit in the current environment and also protect themselves bravely,to lead and change the traditions with the help of internet and media,change thoughts from themselves.Secondly,to family,females need to understand exactly their needs and wants at each life stage,make plans and preparations beforehand,to let the family members understand them,so to reduce the conflict between work and family.Thirdly,to themselves,females need to have more confidence and keep studying all the time,and also enlarge vocational range and choices.
