Comparative Analysis Study Between Lefebvre's Consume Sociaty Theory And Baudrillard's

Apearance of "Consumer society" leaded society change and culture transform, which has changed human's develop and live ways and has affected world point of view and relationship between people and that between people and nature. Western Marxists did deep research on this important question which refers to people existance..This dissertation aims to do a systematic analyzing views of the representatives like Lefebvre and Baudrillard, to arrange the critical logic of consumer society theory, and to get the features and running ways. By using their theory, we can further understand consumer,and explore its theoretical source to supply useful reference for our modernization on the view of consumer society. Both Lefebvre's theroy and Baudrillard's are not out of the weakness of Western Marxism. Western Marxist have raised many new themes, which the classical Maxists have not refer to. But they have nether proved the fesibility of their theory, nor pointed out the concrete operation on it.Based on alienation theroy, Lefebvre has expounded the everyday life controled by bureaucratic society that was guided by consume under the view of Sociology, he called it "the Bureaucratic society of controlled consumption". In his opinion, popular culture and consume system have totally controled the everyday life in the society controled by consume structure. Because of that, Lefebvre concluded that elimating alienation,one-sidedness and contradiction between human and nature in everyday life is the only way to the revolution achivement that classical Maxism expects.Baudrillard start from the meaning of consume, analysing kinds of features of consume society. In his view, consume does not only exist in ecnomic area, but also it is related with operation of double stucture——society and culture as well as material and mental life. In the other word, Baudrillard has done a creative analyse and research on structure, rule and operation ways of consume society under a further wider area. He emphasized that consume is a system which ensures regulating sign and group, and consume society is a special society order. In consume society, which is consumed is no longer real commodity, it is the relation between people and commodity. This relationship has extended history and culture and so on. Based on this, Baudrillard has criticized on consume society, but he thought that pessimistic end is unable to avoid,the problems from consume society also is unable to resolve.
