After the past nearly three decades of understanding on environmental protection industry, contemporary scholars analyzes the development of environmental protection industry deeply from different perspectives.From the experience of Western developed countries which traversed the difficulties in progress of the industry, such as UK, U.S, Japan, Germany, Canada, etc. It's summarized that the country's political system and organizational This paper is based on the background that China environmental protection industry ties with countries around the world and theories about environmental protection industry continue to grow and disputes still lie on environmental protection industry. In this paper, the environmental protection industry is analyzed, by using viewpoints of Industrial economics, information economics, institutional economics, economics; also, the three representative models are summed up about China's environmental protection industry; again, the idea of environmental protection industry is explored in Xinjiang as an example of developing areas.This paper summarizes the different impact of the specific factors on environmental protection industry in different regions: the Beijing model, includes industrial garden plot, Beijing's weather, location, and the people, government intervention; the Jiangsu model, includes technique, private enterprises and investment, and plays an important role in the environmental protection industry; the Guangdong model, includes favorates of environmental products and extensive exchanges with foreign countries. Throughout the three models, for Xinjiang which located on the northwest edge, the successful path did not exist that you can simply copy, and other local factors must be taken into account.This article sets up a Xinjiang environmental protection industry model, according to Xinjiang's own characteristics, and the knowledge of information economy, knowledge economy.
