The Research On The Appraisal Of Coordinated Development Of Green City Xiamen Based On PRED

A well-renowned Expo 2010 Shanghai will be held on May 1st, 2010, which theme is that"better city, better life". We can't deny that people pursue urban lives more and more.Having widely read materials about the development of the green cities at home and abroad, this paper gives a profound studies on Xiamen PRED coordinated development and its pattern from the perspective of system analysis during the urbanization process, then makes an appraisal of green urban development in Xiamen, which uses qualitative and quantitative methods and is based on Gray Theory. The main contents are as follow,1. This paper describes the profound meaning of the green city according to PRED System Theory and clarifies the interactive relationship between the two. And PRED System Theory has a direct influence on the development of green city.2. This paper designs an appraisal index system of green city Xiamen at first. Then, Grey Relational appraisal mode of coordinated development ability on green city is constructed on the basis of the analysis on PRED System Theory.3. This paper gives an appraisal in detail about coordinated development of green city Xiamen according to Grey Theory. Based on the result, it suggests the solution of the development of green city Xiamen.4. The main conclusions of this paper are as follows,(1) The appraisal conclusions of green city Xiamen are as follows,①From the year 2004 to 2008, the trend of PRED coordinated development of Xiamen is showed as"N", and it turns out to be high coordinated level with a fast speed.②The turning point of resources and environment coordinated development happens in 2006.③From the point of the internal subsystems, both demographic and economic systems become more coordinated. After the turning point in 2006, resources and environment systems also coordinate in good direction.(2) There are two available paths of the development of Green city Xiamen.①Xiamen should choose recycling economy by changing its way of improving the economic.②Xiamen should develop low carbon economy.(3) Proposals of constructing green city Xiamen in future are as follows.①use resources economically, advocate green consumption,②advocate the rule of 4R, develop recycling economy,③reduce their carbon footprint,④increase environmental awareness and carry out Green City Contest.
