The Rational Thinking On The "House Feeding" Measure In The Typical Pastoral Region In Inner Mongolia

Today the pastoral region in Inner Mongolia has began to take the "house feeding" measure to restore damaged grassland vegetation because of the serious deterioration of ecological environment. So, there are basically two kinds of views to the "house feeding" measure, one is that the government supports for such measure and the other is that the scholars generally oppose such measure. And there are more analysis from the point of view of the practical meaning of this measure than the theoretical point of view. The author analysizes if it is suitable for adopting the "house feeding" measure in the typical pastoral region and if the advantages of this measure overweights of its disadvantages or the disadvantages overweights its advantages, through applying the knowledge of the technological philosophy and making the field survey methods to the Etuoke Banner in Erdos, with the combination of the practice and theory. For serious degradation of the grassland region, the "House feeding" measure is just a temporary remedial measure, it is not suitable for the typical pastoral region in Inner Mongolia. Althought it has brought some positive effect, it also has serious shortcomings and it is harmful to the restoration and sustainable development of grassland ecosystem and grassland animal husbandry. "House feeding" is not an ideal mode of production in typical pastoral region of Inner Mongolia and the traditional animal husbandry also has its advantages in some cases. We should reasonably adopt the essence of the traditional nomadic animal husbandry and avoid its shortcomings, combine with today's scientific and technical means to chose the suitable way to keep sustainable development of grassland ecosystem and grassland animal husbandry. Only in this way can we restore and protect our grassland and make good use of its value.
