The number of HAIGUI keeps growing in China recently, and we named these people Chinese Returned Knowledge Workers, for they are one of the most important human capitals to engage knowledge work in High-tech enterprises. The work stress they perceived has great impact on their returned adaption and work performance, so how to alleviate their work pressure becomes a significant issue nowadays.The study firstly reviews the researches on the related theories of returned adaptation, psychological capital and the work stress, and then conducts an empirical study among 124 Chinese returned knowledge workers in the high-tech enterprises in Shanghai using well-develop questionnaires.The result of study shows that:the overall psychological capital of the returned knowledge workers have significantly negative correlation with work stress. Among the four dimensions of psychological capital, hope, optimism and resiliency have significantly negative correlation with work stress. The self-efficacy has no significant correlation with work stress. Further T test on the two groups' (high-low psychological capital groups) perception of work stress, we find that the high psychological capital group's perception of work stress is significantly lower than the low group's.This article concludes that the development of psychological capital is the important management strategy to promote the adaptation of the Chinese returned knowledge workers, thus putting forward measures to develop their psychological capital.
