Correlation Analysis Between Work Pressure And Psychological Capital In Group Of Knowledge Workers

Nowadays, knowledge workers have been major force in the process of organizational development. At the same time, they are confronted with so big work stress. Hence, the paper is to do analysis of the relationship between knowledge workers’psychological capital and work stress, aiming to use psychological capital to intervene the work stress of the knowledge workers.The research take239knowledge workers all around China as the research sample, as well as use psychological capital and work stress scales as test tools. Using relevant analysis and regression analysis, the main conclusions as follows:(1) The work stress and psychological capital of knowledge workers overall is high.(2) The difference between variables of basic information and work stress is not obvious. As for the work stress, it is high especially in terms of frame and culture in organization as well as personal relationship in group of knowledge workers.(3) The difference between variables of basic information and psychological capital is obvious in some dimensions.The level of psychological capital for those knowledge workers have good education background as well as being researchers is high. The level of psychological capital for those knowledge workers having work experience over ten years is low. Most of knowledge workers have higher psychological capital than those senior managers. And the level of relationship in terms of work and family for those knowledge workers both condition of married and divorced are almost the same. The level of knowledge workers who have babies is higher in dimensions of hope, optimism and tenacity than those have no babies, especially in dimensions of hope and optimism. Besides optimism, the level of psychological capital for knowledge workers renting house is rather higher.(4) Except for self-efficacy, there is remarkable inverse correlation between other scales of psychological capital and work stress.(5) In dimensions of self-efficacy, hope and optimism are the negative predictive factors to work stress. However, the dimension of tenacity is not negative predictive factor to work stress. And among these dimensions, optimism is the best predictive factor.
