Research On Regional Difference And Coordination Mechanism Of Tourism Economy In Shaanxi Province

Through the development of nearly 30 years, Tourism has become an important industry which supports the development of national economy. Because of the differences in natural environment, location, tourism resources and infrastructure, the development of regional tourism economy shows unbalance in time and in space. Regional tourism economic differences have become a general phenomenon in the development of economy. Research on regional difference of tourism economy is of great significance for developing travel resources, optimizing the spatial distribution of tourism production factors, and establishing rational tourism development.By taking ten cities in Shaanxi as the study objects, using single and multiple indicators combining methods, this essay makes a deep study on the regional disparities of the tourism economy development in time and in space from 1998 to 2008. Through the above research, this article discovers the following conclusions:(1) From 1998 to 2008, the absolute differences of tourism economy among three regions and ten cities were extended, by contrast, the relative differences of tourism economy is diminished. In 2007, the tourism economy has big regional difference in Shaanxi, central Shaanxi became the first, and Northern Shaanxi and southern Shaanxi fall behind.(2) Taking the cities of Shaanxi as the case analysis, based on the panel and serial statistical data, the paper established an evaluation index to the coupling between tourism development and regional economy. The results show that the coupling between tourism development and regional economy is complex, regional economy support tourism development, and tourism development accelerates regional economy.(3) Tourism economy can be influenced by multiple factors. Regional tourism development shows some differences because of the differences in natural environment, location, tourism resources and infrastructure. When a region's economy in a high level, regional infrastructure and tourism facilities can get more capital investment, and tourism resources can be better developed and managed, tourism can be developed faster and better.(4) Coordinate the development of regional tourism economy is effective way to ensure the regional tourism industry remains competitive and sustainable. Regional tourism needs coordination and cooperation. It is necessary to meet the interests of different groups and also ensure that the coordinated development of regional tourism in the economic, social, environmental integrated systems.
