Study And Countmeasures On Spare Parts Inventory Problem For Auto 4S Shops

Since the first auto 4S shop is established in Guangzhou in 1998, it has a great development in China. It is one of the difficult points of automotive spare parts inventory management in the 4S shops'daily operations. And it plays an important role in reducing the cost of 4S shop of reasonable arrangement of spare parts procurement, transportation and inventory.In this paper it firstly analyzes the 4S shop's spare parts inventory. After the analysis of the characteristics, inventory management goals and development process of such inventory and summarizing several common problems such as overstock, dead stock,then this paper proposes two solving strategies:The first one is spare parts multi-criteria ABC classification strategy; The second one is the lateral replenishment strategy in auto 4S shops.In this paper it selects the demand law, value, lead time and other factors of spare parts as the classification criteria of ABC classification, and it makes the corresponding inventory strategy for each category of spare parts. This will help the 4S shop to specific storage locations, order inventory methods and monitor methods parameters.In this paper it carries out the replenishment strategy of auto spare parts between the horizontal 4S store, and examines results of the implementation of the strategy. To establish a parts distribution center and some same horizontal 4S shop replenishment models, and it gets a inventory cost formula of horizontal replenishment and a formula of service level. In this paper Arena simulation software is used around the vehicle lateral 4S store inventory replenishment system simulation, comparing rates, such as out of stock, inventory costs, inventory management indicators and so on, to prove the superiority of lateral replenishment strategy. It inputs parameters such as lead time, customer demand inventory replenishment interval of the horizontal level of service and inventory costs. And some conclusions are drawn.
