After "Jinan Massacre" occurred, the Canton Chamber of Commerce responded positively to the call of the National Government and led business people involved in the boycott movement.But, in order to maintain the interests of the merchants, the Chamber of Commerce produced a lot of economic differences with" all sectors'economy refusal association against Japanese", especially in the storage of Japanese goods and collection of domestic products against the fund. The dissertation takes the Canton Chamber of Commerce during "Jinan Massacre" as case. Although the Chamber of Commerce was in the collision of "patriotism" and "private ", there were limitations, the Association's historical position and role should be affirmed. The author attempts to analyze the problem, in an effort to make an objective assessment to the Chamber of Commerce. |
