Soft-input And The Development Of China's Automobile Industry: Distribution, Scale And Technology

As an important pillar of national economy, the development of China's auto industry make a significant impact on China's economy. This paper aims to reveal the soft-input elements on the role of China's automobile industry, and take the conclusion to give some recommendations to the development of auto industry. On the basis of an overview on the relevant theory and an elaboration on the status of the automobile indusry in China and the world as a whole, this paper will investigate and analyze the development of China's automobile industry in terms of its layout, scale and technology by applying the theory of soft-input.By the method of comparative analysis and historical analysis,this paper researchs the the development of China's automobile industry in terms of its layout and scale, find that soft-input elements largely determine the layout of the China's automobile industry, lower quality of the soft-input constrained the layout of the automotive industry and its technological leve.This paper is to measure the rate of soft-input and the potential output of China's auto industry as well as China's auto industry. I also measure the folder angleθof China's automobile industry between the actual output and potential output. This is also the focus of the contents of this paper.The conclusion of the reasearch is that the contribution rate of the soft-input in China's automobile industry is very low for a long time,the gap of out-put is large,the reason is the quality of soft-input is low. Then, after research the development experiences of United States and Japan,I try to give my suggestion to the development of China's automobile industry.
