Research On Regional Economic Linkage

In modern open society, the intra-region and inter-region economic linkages becoming stronger is the natural result of regional economic development, and they are also important prerequisites for further development of regional economic development. The theory of regional economic linkages makes great significance for speeding up economic and social development of specific areas.The intra-region and inter-region economic linkages are becoming increasingly close and complex with the rapid economic development. Having referred to the relevant domestic and foreign theoretical research achievements on regional economic linkage, this dissertation expounds the basic meaning and measurement method of regional economic linkage systematically. Then the writer gives an empirical analysis of the economic linkage between Dingxi City and surrounding regions in terms of the intensity, the convenience and the complementary of economic linkage. Especially, this dissertation discusses the economic linkage between Dingxi and Lanzhou. Based on the analysis above, the writer concludes that the economic linkage between Dingxi and Lanzhou can be strengthened by reinforcing agriculture, undertaking industries, developing regional market and establishing multilateral coordinating mechanism and so on.
