In this paper, through the Dunhuang documents recorded in the local artificial canals, sorting out the Chinese Song Dynasty from Dunhuang in the chart of artificial irrigation facilities, and then on top of this work, supplemented by modern geographical landscape, consolidate before the Tang Dynasty, Tang Dynasty and the Tang Dynasty after Dunhuang County and its surrounding artificial water distribution, and differences between these three diagrams a detailed comparative analysis, summarized the characteristics of its evolution. From the conclusion of the above, we can find that before Tang dynasty, the water artificial in Dunhuang was at the beginning although it was really improved to Five Liang Regimes, which is the basic of the construction of Tang dynasty.The Tang Dynasty, Dunhuang area of artificial water was greatly changed, artificial channels and natural rivers transport links, local agricultural irrigation has played a huge role, but this time the central government also has a high attention from Dunhuang and indeed in the Tang Dynasty, Dunhuang became Hexi region of China and the entire throat, whether in the political, economic, military and even cultural, Dunhuang have formed their own unique system, in the West on the Silk Road traffic play an important role. Since the Song Dynasty, the Dunhuang area, artificial irrigation facilities are no longer a significant development, natural springs and lakes began to shrink and even exhausted the emergence of such a situation, just by Longnan Vientiane Cave data emerging from the study sample, contact between correspondence between climate, climate change, introduction of Dunhuang region was under the influence of the natural environment started to droop. The above two conclusions to contact obtained Dunhuang water systems mainly depend on monsoon and the human factors of the two finally factors which know that the trend of water system evolution reveal the rule that the attention to Dunhuang area paid by the power concerns the extent, influence in a certain sense the trends of the developments of Dunhuang.
