Research And Implement On Internal Supply Chain Dimensional Model Of Manufacturing

With the business competition becoming more and more intense, higher requirements of the quality and speed of decision-making are asked for to meet the increasing market competition pressure among the manufacturing. Only analyzing the large number of historical and current data can enterprises make the right decisions, find new markets, reduce the production and management costs, increase profits and improve their competitiveness. In the manufacturing industry, the development of ERP has been basically matured, more and more enterprises have ERP application which make the management of the company growing more regular. Data warehouse technology which has been familiar with a large number of enterprise managers has become the first choice of many companies after ERP application.Internal supply chain which including inventory, purchasing, order and sales management is the core of manufacturing.To analyze the data of internal supply chain system can improve Inventory Turnover, decrease capital taking up, control purchasing and sales costs effectively,make the strategy more scientific, receive a purpose of improving competitiveness and making profit.Just for the right background,this paper studies the data warehouse and OLAP technology,design dimensionality model of internal supply chainof manufactuing,it makes a practical sense.Firstly,this paper analyzes the researching and application status quo of data warehouse and OLAP technology at home and abroad, discuss the basic theory of data warehouse,OLAP technology and supply chain, analyzes the connotation and characteristic of internal supply chain management system,finds out the analyzing subject and data analyzing demand in the aspact of internal supply chain,designs the internal supply chain dimensional model including sales,inventory, purchasing and order of manufactuing according to the theory of dimension modeling ,researches and disposes the irregular dimensions and measures ,and then assemble the subject dimensional modle according to'information technology packing' method making it to a dimensional modle of the whole enterprise. Secondly, this paper makes an intensive study of dimensional modeling technology based on MS SQL Server 2005, mainly focus on the time dimension, hiberarchy dimensions, dimension attributes grouping,changing dimensions, additive character of measures and the relationship between dimensions and measures incuding regular relationship,many-to-many relationship,reference relationship and verity relationship. Finally, this paper takes a bicycle manufacturing company as an example,builds the dimensional modle, analyzes and displays the data with MS SQL Server 2005 business intelligence tools.
