Evaluation On Apple Industry Competitiveness In Shaanxi

The unique natural advantage in Shaanxi province determines the development of apple industry in this area. With increasingly fierce market competition, Shaanxi province makes use of this advantage endowment to speed up the development of apple industry, endeavoring hardly to have dominant position in competition. However there are still many links in Shaanxi province need to be improved, which are extremely difficult and urgent to be solved. This thesis expects to reach three goals from the study of the actual affecting factors of apple industry competitiveness, firstly, to construct a set of scientific evaluation system of apple industry competitiveness, as a feasible tool to measure apple industry in Shaanxi apples, secondly, to find the deficiency of apple industry in Shaanxi province through the comparison with the sample area, thirdly, to put forward advice for the new formulate of apple industry in Shaanxi and countermeasures of the weak link. The paper has seven chapters, specific arrangements as the following:The first chapter is Foreword. It mainly introduces the competitive question background of apple industry in Shaanxi province, the purpose and significance of the study, ideas and methods of the research. Finally, it puts forward the possible innovation of this thesis.The second chapter is development history and present situation of apple industry in Shaanxi province. It analyses the realistic situation and elaborates roundly the actual background in natural condition, production and procession, scientific condition and so on from the aspects of historical change, production condition and industry features of apple industry in Shaanxi province.The third chapter is the history and current of Shaanxi apple industry. Analyses the realistic situation of industry in Shaanxi province, apple from the historical changes, apple industry production conditions and industry faces, Shaanxi province comprehensively expounded in natural conditions, apple industrial production process and technology conditions are competitive realistic background.The fourth chapter is the construction of evaluation index system of apple industry competitiveness. According to AHP, it constructs the evaluation system using the affecting factors of apple industry in Shaanxi province and introduces the quantitative method along with evaluation method.The fifth chapter measures and analyses the competitiveness of apple industry in Shaanxi province. The thesis concludes the competiveness level of apple industry in Shaanxi province during 2006 to 2008 through quantitative analysis of data collection. The total index level (109.6, 103.3 and 116) is firstly strong and then trends to be weak after first climax in 2007.The sixth chapter is comparative analysis of apple industry between Shaanxi provinces and Shandong province. It compares the competitiveness of Shandong province and Shaanxi province of apple industrial. The result presents that the overall level of competitiveness of Shaanxi province is weaker than Shandong province, 109.6 and 143.2 respectively and finds there are still some gaps comparing Shaanxi province and Shandong province in capital, technology and so on.The seventh chapter presents countermeasures and suggestion to enhance the competitiveness of apple industry in Shaanxi province from microfinance system, establishing the new technology promotion system, strengthening the construction of institutional innovation and quality of operators and so on.
