The natural ecological environment is facing a crisis that can not be ignored - the increasing pressure on resources and energy, the expanding trend of environmental pollution, the overloaded ecological environment and the continuing occurance of environmental safty incidents. These curb the socio-economic sustainable development, and threaten the physical condition of our citizens. Natural forest protection project (NFPP) appears as one of the important measures form Chinese government to solve the problems of ecological deterioration, so does the audit of NFPP. This article mainly researches the ecological safty evaluation of the audit of NFPP, in order to offer help for the effective evaluation of the completion of tasks which curb the environmental deterioration and protect the diversity of living things, and to complete evaluation work of the aim of the project of natural forests deeply, scientififically and comprehensively, and to guide the improvement and problem-solving of this project. This total includes six chapters.Chapter I: Introduction. To introduce the background of why I choose the topic, the purpose and significance of research, the dynamic research condition from home and abroad, research methods and the possible innovations.Chapter II: The theories related to the audit ecological security evaluation of natural forest protection project. The first past describes the general situation of ecological safety. The second past is the introduction of the theoretical basis for ecological security assessment. First, the sustainable development theory. From the perspective of the whole process of human society, in order to keep the process of human society in a harmonious and stable state, the ecological sustainablility should be considered as a promise, the economic sustainablility as a core and social sustainablility as an aim. Therefore, the pervious view of"conquer and plunder"has to change into"cooperate and coexist"with nature. Second, the theory of the relation between human being and forest, in which the connotation of this relationship is expanded to the whole framework of"population-resoures-grain-energy-environment"and multivariate structure and connection, seeking for the coordination and balance between the economic development and resources and environment in human society. Third, ecological economic theory of forests. The problems of forest ecology and environment should be considered together with the social and economic problems, and should be solved with the development of economy. It is necessary to take measures to realize the development strategy which coordinate the protection of environment with economic development. Fourth, region analysis theory, which analyses the natural condition, the features of society and economy background of regional development, as well as the influence to the regional society and economic development of it, and also discuss the principle of the interact connection among nature factors of culture and regions inside the area. The third part introduces the standard of ecological security evaluation. The fourth part introduces the evaluation methods of ecological security.Chapter III: The analysis of current state of ecological security evaluation. It includes the general introduction of natural forest protection project, the current state of natural forest protection project and its ecological security evaluation, and the problems.existing.Chapter IV: The counter measures and suggestions for natural forest protection project audit. The first part is to construct an index system to evaluate the eco-security of this project audit. First, illustrate why it is important to construct and improve the evaluation index system; second, elaborate the construction principle; third, expound the framework of the index system. The second part is to make sure the important points, methods and standards of the audit of this project which states in details the important points, the explicit index system and the application of the methods of ecological security evaluation of this program.Chapter V: The advice for how to complete the work of the audit of this project, which mainly includes how to strength ecological legislation; to improve the evaluation standard of ecological security, the work of the audit, as well as the audit procedures and methods, and increase technology knowledge of advicers to the ecological security audit.Chapter VI: The conclusion, which mainly includes the summary and the problems that should be handle in the future.
