Empirical Study On Technology Spillovers To Innovation Of Different Industrial Agglomeration

Industrial clustering is a new trend of the current international economic development. The economy globalization, production factors specialization and division of labor, international competition and cooperation, together with strengthening of economy intercommunion and other factors between the countries contributed to the emergence of industrial clustering. The function of agglomeration is to obtain economies of scale, to reduce costs of production, to improve innovative capability. It is more important to promote the technological up-gradation and industrial construction. Industrial agglomeration is very important to industrial transition in China. In the light of technological innovation, China still does not establish innovation system in the country and regions, lack cooperation and mutual connection, has a few R&D situations, and does not form agglomerative advantages. So it is significant to explore the relationship between the industrial cluster and innovation, which can improve the academic value on industrial organization theory and technological innovation, make the current situation better, and guide the technological innovation.The thesis contains five chapters. Chapter one introduces the relevant theory and research tendency on industrial agglomeration: the External Economic theory of Marshall, Agglomeration Economies theory of Weber, Economic Geography theory of Krugman, Competitive Economic theory of Porter. Chapter two is concerned with some factors that affecting industrial agglomeration and the effect analysis on industrial agglomeration. Chapter three adopts Eviews6 model to study the mutual relationship between patent approvals and technical market turnover, which can summarize the mutual relationship between technological innovation and industrial cluster in the light of empirical study. Chapter four makes a comparative analysis on technological innovation of industrial agglomeration in three areas: Beijing, Zhejiang and Guangdong, and points out the current development and tendency in six perspectives: the cluster type, capital structure, sales market, capitalists'source, embeddedness, regional growth mechanism. Chapter five makes a conclusion and puts forward the relevant suggestions on innovation capability of industrial agglomeration.This research makes contributions on academic and practical meanings: on the one hand, this research attempts to an empirical study on industrial agglomeration in three regions- Beijing, Zhejiang and Guangdong; on the other hand, the research points out the current situation and existing issues in three regions and makes some suggestions, which can provide a guidance to the other regions in the light of technological innovation, promote the industrial up-gradation in china.
