In recent years, the policy reform pace of China's publishing industry is speeding up, and there is a deadline for Press conversion to complete. With International Media Group entering into China, the Press industry will further open up. In this context, China's Press industry will face major re-shuffle. Chinese publishers increasingly strengthen market awareness, topics development and books of marketing become.more and more "professional" and in-depth. A marketing strategy study on social hot-point books, which is regarded as an important profit of Press industry, will be seemed quite practical significance.This paper did a literature review on marketing and book marketing research home and abroad, introduced marketing methods and tools, in particular, the theory of book marketing. It also elaborated overview of Z Press, and did SWOT analysis on Z Press social hot-point books marketing environment. On this basis, this paper set Z Press published《Type A H1N1 influenza control manual》in may 2009 as an example, analyzed the operation of marketing strategy of this book, summed up the successes and shortcomings.
