Analysis On The Social Space Transformation Of Coal City

Coal city is a kind of city which depends on coal mining and coal primary machining.The development in economic and societyof coal city relies on the exploitation of the coal.When the resource begins to decrease, the development of the city will be stricken. Afterthe resource of the coal, the coal city will be up against not only the industrytransformation, but also the institutional transition. The transition must arouse enormouschanges of society.The social space is the reflection of these changes.Social space is an important focus in many subjects. The study of social space will bemore and more synthesized in the future. The researches by overseas scholar in socialspace are more advanced and the production was more than domestic learning. Mostinternal scholar often choose large cities or provincial capital cities, utilize the factorialecology to analyze the data of census, then summarizing the structure of social area.Therefore the learning in our countryhas a lot of upside.This article basis on questionnaire survey, choose the data of 1998 to 2008, usingprincipal component analysis and cluster analysis for social space of Fuxin. Then the studyselects the central factors and divides the social area. At the same time, the study analyzesthe space distributing of the factors by GIS. At last, the thesis discusses the mechanismsFuxin's social space, and summarizes that there are four mechanisms for thetransformation of Fuxin's social space, including historical inertia, government policy,social differentiation and individual preference. The purpose of this article is that supplyingthe theory of social space and instructing the development of the resource dying cities likeFuxin.
