Research On The Coal Resource Cities Transition Obstacles And Countermeasures

Now there are a lot of coal resource cities, some of which have almost been faced the threat of coal resource exhaustion. How these cities achieved urban economic restructuring has become a major problem in the city's economic development. In this paper, empirical research methods and SWOT analysis were mainly applied to analyze Xiangyuan in Changzhi City's economy, which hoped these cities economy to have a certain role in promoting to achieve a smooth transition.As a large coal resources city, Xiangyuan County economy mainly depends on coal mining and coal processing production. In this paper, according to the actual situation of Xiangyuan County and the advantages of the second industries in this county, and combined with the advantages of its climate, geographic location, natural resources we applied SWOT analysis to know the advantages and disadvantages in this county's economy transition. It has a solid economic foundation to achieve the transformation, the better mining technology, good urban location, preferential national policies, and the opportunities with relying on technological innovation and transformation supported of central China rising policy. At the same time, it has the unreasonable economic and social structure, disharmony industrial structure, low efficiency of business burden. In addition, it faces the threat of resource depletion, lack of talent, fierce competition and environmental degradation. On this basis, the strategic objectives about achieving Xiangyuan economic transformation, new industries, modern agriculture, ecological urban, and building rich civilizion, livable industry, safe and harmonious new Xiangyuan were proposed. The transformation model about extending competitive industries and industrial chain, cultivating new leading industries, implanting a new industry was proposed. The leading industries about circular energy, high-end materials, equipment manufacturing, biological information, environmental protection, tourism service were developed. The safeguards related to protect the livelihood of the people, do large-scale economy, promote economic development, improve the comprehensive competitiveness of Xiangyuan were proposed, which will promote its successful transition.
