Study On The Elements Contribution Of The Economic Growth In Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region

From 1995 to 2009, the growth rate of annual GDP of Inner Mongolia is up to 18.95%. Considering the high development of economy, we may be interested in the following questions:Is there any replicability in the economic development model of Inner Mongolia? What are the factors leading to the high growth of economy? How much do such factors as advanced technology, physical capital, and effective labor contribute to the economic growth of Inner Mongolia in the past 15 years? What are the typical characteristics of the present economic growth in Inner Mongolia? This paper has a great significance on the above questions both from the perspective of theory and reality.Firstly, this paper gives a general introduction to the relative studies on economic theories and models at home and abroad.Secondly, based on Barro and Lee's education years'method, the author estimated the per capita human capital in Inner Mongolia and mutilates the employees'labor price in the corresponding years and gets the effective labor in Inner Mongolia. Using the perpetual inventory method, this paper calculates the stock of physical capital in Inner Mongolia.Later, on the basis on setting models, the author uses the spss16.0 to regress and retrieve the sample data and calculated the effective labor in each year using Solow Complementary method.Finally, based on the analysis, the author comes to the conclusion that:In the economic growth of Inner Mongolia, it is necessary to keep a stable increasing of physical capital; to focus on rational distribution of physical capital; to increase marginal efficiency of capital; to change the previous extensive developing way; to enlarge the share of effective labor; to develop the education; to improve people's educational level; to seek technical breakthrough in some fields. Only based on the technology and human capital, it is possible to get the long-term economic growth in Inner Mongolia.
