Financial Cooperation Between Guangdong And Hong Kong And The Guangdong Economic Growth

Modern theories of economic growth have explained different factors influencing the economic growth. As an important engine of economic growth, finance not only directly reflects the regional characteristic of the economy, but also generally regional characteristic of economic growth is achieved by means of regional operation of finance. As a first step in financial regionalization, financial cooperation is the deepest form of economic cooperation. Currently, the domestic research on regional financial cooperation focuses on the practical aspects of regional policy. Based on the review of literature on regional finance and economic growth at home and abroad, this paper brings a new perspective: the relationship between Financial Cooperation and Economic Growth, and mainly focuses on theoretical and empirical research on the relationship between Financial Cooperation between Guangdong and Hong Kong and the Guangdong Economic Growth.This paper is divided into five parts. Introductory section sets out the background and significance of this research topic, research framework and main contents, methods of this research and innovations, difficulties. The second part firstly defines"Economic Growth"and"Regional Financial Cooperation", then makes induction of theory and review of literature following the sequence of"Economic Growth - Financial Development and Economic Growth - Regional Financial Cooperation and Economic Growth". The third section describes the evolution of economic growth in Guangdong and growth factors, the evolution of Financial Cooperation between Guangdong and Hong Kong, characteristics and existing problems of the cooperation, and cooperation modes. The fourth part firstly probes the acting mechanism of regional financial cooperation to regional economic growth, then manily does empirical analysis on the relationship between Financial Cooperation between Guangdong and Hong Kong and the Guangdong Economic Growth, which is based on economic growth model. The fifth part summarizes the whole viewpoints, proposes to policy recommendations about extending and deepening financial cooperation between Guangdong and Hong Kong.
