Remanufacturing is a system engineering, which takes used products and parts as stocks, by the ways of disassembly, detection, cleaning, remachine, reassemble and so on, to realize the recovery or upgrade in function and performance with low cost and high reuse rate. Mass.customization for remanufacturing is urgently needed as the rapid development of remanufacturing, increasingly severe market competition and widely attention paying for diversification and individualization of the customers'requirements. Customized remanufacturing can meet customers'diversified and individual requirements with remanufacturing cost minimization, remanufacturing processes optimization and response refinement. In the mass customized remanufacturing system, the study on optimization configuration of remanufacturing material is a key problem. With the support of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NO.50605066), this paper focuses on the problem of optimization configuration method of remanufacturing materials.Firstly, this paper summarizes the characteristics of customer groups, and analyses the the feature and types of customization requirements of remanufacturing products. An improved house of quality is introduced to map and translate the customer requirements to the technology requirements, which provids the analysis foundation of customization requirements for remanufacturing materials configuration .Secondly, due to the unceratainty of origin, quality, quantity and period of used products and parts, remanufacturing material preparation is uncertain, which makes remanufacturing customization requirements binding. Based on the analysis of uncertainty characteristic, this paper presents a modular disassembling method to recycled products with following the principle of functional independence. Then, a clustering analysis for the same or similar disassembled modules is presented by fuzzy theory, in order to realize purposeful customization and order of disassembly process, improve used parts customizibility and reusing rate, and reduce the influence of remanufacturing material uncertainty on custom manufacturingin stability.Thirdly, a model of customization.oriented remanufacturing material optimization configuration is developed. By constructing optimization decision matrixes under remanufacturing complexity objective, remanufacturing time objective and remanufaturing benefits objective respectively and analyzing the quantity relationship between the used parts and the customized new parts, this model bulit a mathematical model for remanufacturing material configuration based on trasportation problem to match and optimize the reuse relationship between the used parts and the customized new parts .Then, a optimal configuration scheme can be gotten by genetic algorithm in Matlab.Finally, the article combines some enterprise remanufaturing example to design the reuse relationship between used cases of reducers and customized new cases of reducers, and obtain the optimal configuration scheme for them, which demonstrates rationality and practicality of the remanufacturing material configuration method.
