To the twenty-first century, after several reorganization of China's telecom industries, the telecom industry has entered an era of competition. Telecom, Mobile, Unicom and Netcom were in their own development in the last eight years, they expanded a variety of ways and had quite fierce competitions in the market, even the occurrence of the damage which should not occur in the human operator communications equipment, artificial interconnection barriers,vicious incidents, all of these made a very bad influence on the domestic consumers, and from another angle, explained the outdated reform of telecommunications system, and we know that forming a truly effective market structure is still a long way to go, not several reorganization of telecom industries can overnight solve all the problems in the old system. But with the deepening of the national telecom restructuring process started, China Telecom, as the eldest telecom industry, was a real competitive pressures, to bear the market's competition consequences-----gradually lost dominance in the domestic telecom market, and as an ordinary telecommunications enterprises in the fierce competition in the market to seek survival and development. In the past few years, China Telecom had tried a variety of ways to seek high speed and rapid development not only in business development but also in internal aspects of management and process reengineering, but no sewing day when helpless. Backward technology and new products substitution effect is the reason why the rate of development of China Telecom is more slowly, also the business revenue growth, China Telecom's way out? Everyone in the telecommunications is thinking, our country is also concerning about China's telecom industry. While China Mobile at this stage is entirely a different story, at a time when the mobile phone users has a high-speed growth in the domestic telecommunications market, China Mobile, with its inherent advantages and business efforts, expanding their customers steadily and made a very good operating results, accounting for half of China's telecom market, and becoming a new and more substantial monopoly. The China's telecom market was once again unbalanced, so the voice for telecommunications reform and reorganization is growing. In 2008, China's telecommunications industry had their corporate reorganization the fourth time. China Telecom's acquired the CDMA mobile network and operations license successfully. Then China Telecom, China Mobile, China Unicom, the three operators have begun their operations, China's telecommunications industry has entered a more intense competition in all service times. How to combine the traditional business strengths with the development of the mobile service in the new competitive market successfully, to provide the market with competitive products, and to promote rapid and effective development of the whole business of China Telecom is a very important and urgent challenge mission, only by this China Telecom may have to survive the fierce market competition and might be possible to further develop bigger and stronger, and also maintain their advantages in the future competition in order to achieve China Telecom's business goals and strategic vision. The article first use Michael Porter (MichaelPorter) the competitiveness of the model to the analysis of the status of China Telecom in the last eighties century, comprehensively analyzes the various challenges and opportunities which the China Telecom is currently facing, and giving an in-depth analysis of China Telecom's development strategy on the whole business environment, putting forward some useful suggestions and strategies, combined with the development of these strategies, combined with specific marketing case in some areas. I hope it can play serve as a stimulus to China Telecom,also expect better performance of China Telecom in the fierce market competition in the future. Eventually opening up a new era of full-service operations and creating a more brilliant future.
