Labor Relation (LR)is a general concern for academic and business circles both in China and abroad. Under the background of constructing a harmonious socialist society and the labor contract law implemented, the study heat on the LR of domestic scholars is unabated, focusing on the qualitative research of how to operate and coordinate LR system. But the empirical study on the coordination results of LR is so limited. Based on achievements and deficiencies of existing research, we choose staffs'job performance as the result variable, and then explore the relation between LR and job performance by questionnaire survey, in order to provide theoretical foundation and reference for actual work in enterprises.We took the convenient sampling method and questionnaire survey to get data, used SPSS 13.0 and LISREL8.70 in the data statistical process. After doing the factor analysis, reliability analysis, variance analysis, correlation and multivariate linear regression analysis, we drew the following conclusions. Firstly, six dimensions of the LR questionnaire are labor contract, labor rights and interests, dispute resolution, trade unions and employee participation, management concerns, employee satisfaction and confidence. Secondly, the differences among different ownership enterprises on dispute resolution are not significant, also the differences among different industries on labor contract. While dispute resolution, management concerns, employee satisfaction and confidence exist significant differences among different scale enterprises. Thirdly, labor rights and interests, employee satisfaction and confidence, labor contract, trade unions and employee participation have significantly positive effects on task performance. Fourthly, employee satisfaction and confidence, trade unions and employee participation, management concerns, labor contract have significantly positive effects on contextual performance.We proposed the following suggestions, aiming at how to build harmonious labor relations and improve job performance. Firstly, the enterprises should perfect the the operating mechanism of LR based on employee rights and interests, including enhancing management of labor contracts, setting up enterprise labour dispute handling mechanism, establishing and improving employee participation measures. Secondly, the enterprises should pay attention to the staffs career development and growth, strengthen staffs actual ability to work, offer environmental foundation and power for improving job performance through harmonious atmospherea and incentive mechanism.
