Study On The Extension Behaviors Of Agricultural Research Staffs

Agricultural extension is an important bridge to achieve transformation of scientific and technological achievements. Since the reform and opening, by establishing demonstration base, expert courtyard, scientific and technological envoys and other means, a large number of agricultural researchers participate in the promotion of agricultural technology, done a lot of fruitful work and have become an important agricultural extension force, and increasingly play an important role in the development of agriculture and rural. Thus, under the background of balancing urban and rural, largely advancing agricultural technology to rural and encouraging agricultural researchers to promote technology, it has an important practical significance that study on the extension behavior of researchers, deeply analyzes its impact factor and explores appropriate policies and measures.Based on the sampling survey to agricultural universities and research institutes in Sichuan Province, This study attempts to research the extension degree of participation and impact factors under the market economy, and explore the policy leading mechanism of agriculture researchers'extension to provide a theoretical reference for further reform of agricultural technology system.In the paper main research contents as follows:based on the full integration of theoretical and practical information. Firstly, the paper minutely depicts the investigation method, investigating area and the basic characters of samples. Secondly, the paper takes a preliminary analysis to the attitude and behavior of agriculture researchers'extension. Again, the paper use ordered probability model to deeply research the extension behavior of agriculture researchers. Finally, in terms of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis of the extension degree, the paper makes some policy recommendations and explores the way of incentive for further mobilize agriculture researchers to participate technology extension. Main findings as follows:①agricultural researchers have a positive attitude towards extension. The people who express the willingness to participate in technology extension are 77% of the overall sample.②the extension initiatives of agricultural researcher are to be improved. The people whose purpose is to complete the research task are 25.85% of the staff. The main extension model is in cooperation with government and enterprise.③there is a higher participation to agricultural researchers'technology extension. The per capita participation in technical extension of time is about between one and three month in year.④the characteristics of personal, research, system and location have different degrees to the extension of agricultural researcher.Based on the above findings, the paper proposes several policy recommendations as follows:①strengthening the extension of agricultural universities and research institutes.②innovate the internal personnel and distribution systems of agricultural universities and research institutes.③making full use of the orientation and leverage of government IT project fund.④promoting more people to involve in extension beside the central city of universities and research institutes.⑤perfecting the policy and regulation of agricultural technology.
